Dental Surgical Team
The Western Implant Training Center emphasizes Dental Implant treatment as a 'Team Approach'. It is imperative that not only the Dental Practitioner, but also the Surgical Staff, has the training, experience, and calm temperament to perform Implant procedures. Complications can arise that require immediate and decisive attention. All of the Dental Surgical Team at our Center are Registered Dental Assistants (RDA Level II), and are members of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries and Practice Management (an affiliate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists). They have been involved in hundreds of various dental implant procedures, from single implants to sinus lifts and bone grafting. This knowledge and background experience allows the Surgical Team to perform seamlessly in procedures that can, at times, become stressful for the Dental Practitioner.
Not only do the Team members assist in the implant surgical procedures, they also perform duties that allow the Dental Practitioner the time to plan Implant cases. The Surgical Team is involved in preliminary consultations with potential patients, doing transfer impressions and initial try-ins, sourcing and ordering implant parts, maintaining surgical procedure documentation and digital photography of each phase of surgery, preparing the surgical suite, evaluating CBCT Scans for anomalies, and providing outstanding, and friendly patient care. Without this 'Team' approach, it would be very difficult for the Practitioner to perform implant surgeries with confidence and predictable results.
Our Surgical Team will assist you and your Staff with all the information you need to prepare your own surgical suite, without the need for a dedicated surgical suite. They will demonstrate PRP procedures and protocols, as well as providing valuable knowledge on sterilization and case preparation.
